This is not a straightforward question to answer as there are dozens of different lubricants on the consumer market.
Not all lubricants are created equal. Personal lubricants are highly regulated requiring certifications and registration with the FDA and similar governmental regulators in other countries. All of überlube's locations are FDA registered and the products are 510(k) approved. It is important to check that any lube has this registration before purchasing.
Überlube is also manufactured by Überlube allowing for the careful selection and oversight of the ingredients and manufacturing processes. Many lubricant brands outsource their manufacturing and bottling processes to factories they do not own or manage - not überlube!
It is our mission to have superior performance and be transparent in all that we do (like our clear bottle!). We don't market with gimmicks. Our product both feels and looks good and we continue to focus on reducing the stigma tied to lubricants and promoting sexual wellness.

It is intended to moisturize and lubricate, to enhance the ease and comfort of intimate sexual activity and supplement the body’s natural lubrication. This product is compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms. This product is not compatible with polyurethane condoms.

Lubricants can be made of several different ingredients. Typical formulas include water, silicone or oil-based ingredients.
Überlube is a premium silicone lubricant. Silicone lubes differ from water-based versions in their feel, water resistance, and longevity of use. Silicone lubes do not contain water, greatly reducing the opportunity for bacteria to grow and preventing the need for chemical preservatives.
Überlube has only 4 ingredients, no preservatives and has been developed and tested for an optimal smooth, silky texture. It lasts longer on the skin surface without drying out or getting sticky. With silicone's natural water resistance, überlube is also well suited for water play.

Überlube'sintended useis meant to enhance the ease and comfort of intimate sexual activity and supplement the body’s natural lubrication. We cannot recommend ingesting large quantities of any lubricant as they have not been tested specifically for ingestion. However, if your lube contains harmless ingredients, our position is that it can be used for oral sex. It is important that you use a reputable, high-quality lubricant and understand each ingredient to make sure it is safe for you (it's easy with überlube's simple ingredient list). If you have questions, consult your health care provider.

Überlube does not contain any spermicides and makes no claim to improve the likelihood of pregnancy. This will vary depending on preference and type of play. Each person should experiment and figure out the amount that’s right for them - have fun with it! We recommend starting with a minimal amount - a little goes a long way!

How do I get the last drops of überlube out of the bottle?
How do I get the last drops of überlube out of the bottle?
When your bottle of überlube is low and you want those last few silky drops, we recommend the following technique:
1) Position the pump nozzle to be aligned with the bottom of the dip tube
2) Tilt the bottle slightly so the dip tube is in the remaining liquid.
3) Now pump! Voila! You'll get überlube instead of air.
When you buy a new bottle of überlube you'll notice that the dip tube is already aligned with the pump nozzle. It sometimes rotates when used and can be rotated back into the aligned position when needed.
